I hand dye all my yarn in batches of 8-10 so even though they are all dyed together due to the nature of hand-dyeing colours may vary from skein to skein - if you were to buy more than one - which would obviously be fabulous - I will ensure to match them up and please ensure you purchase enough for your project as future dye lots may vary due to nature of dyeing small batches
I dye in my loft and my whole house is pet free and smoke free but the loft is always filled with music to help with the creative process
Each skein is 425m per 100gram but please feel free to weigh it as sometimes you get a little extra grams and that means extra meterage !
I try to represent the full range of the colours in the photo but please note colours may vary slightly from monitor to monitor - I take the photos in the daylight with minimum props as I want the yarn to be centre stage.
Gentle washing will keep your garment beautiful for longer. For best results, hand-wash your finished project with cool water and try to use a wool wash - I use a drop ( literally) in the cold water when giving these lovelies their final rinse
Due to nature of the dyes please test especially if you are mixing dark and light however I ensure that all the yarn is left overnight to ensure depth of colour and complete exhaustion of the dye - which means when I come back to the pot all the water is clear to minimise bleeding if any.
